The main and principal function of the cardiovascular system is to circulate blood thought out the body and back so that it can be supplied with oxygen, nutrients, hormones and other gases, it also removes waste products that are in the circulatory system. It also produces the blood (in the heart) that is needed to transport oxygen, nutrients, etc. to muscles and organs. Basically blood services the bodies cells, organs and muscles then re-enters the heart. Without this system the body wouldn’t be able to maintain a stable internal temperature and pH level, and obviously wouldn’t be able to fight disease.
